This year we have a new Third Party Administrator – First Financial Group of America that will be in the district to help all employees enroll on their new online system. Listed below are dates and locations for open enrollment events.

May 1, 2013 – 7:30 am, Open Enrollment Meeting at Santa Fe HS

May 8, 2013 – 8:00 am, Open Enrollment Meeting Kubacak Elementary and Enrollment Staff on campus 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

May 8, 2013 – 3:00 pm, Open Enrollment Meeting Santa Fe Junior High

May 9, 2013 – 8:15 am, Open Enrollment Meeting Transportation Building and Enrollment Staff on site 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

May 10, 2013 – 11:30 am, Open Enrollment Meeting Cowan Admin Building

May 10, 2013 – Enrollment Staff on Site at Santa Fe Junior High 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

May 13, 2013 – 2:30 pm, Open Enrollment Meeting Cowan Admin Building and Enrollment Staff on site 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Bilingual Enroller Available)

May 14, 2013 – 8:00 am, Open Enrollment Meeting Wollam Elementary and Enrollment Staff on campus 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

May 15, 2013 – 4:00 pm, Open Enrollment Meeting Cowan Administration Building and Enrollment Staff on site 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Bilingual Enroller

May 22, 2013 – Enrollment Staff at Santa Fe High School on site 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Please make arrangements to attend one of the meetings and to visit an enrollment site during these times.

TRS Active Care booklets for 2013 – 2014 are being delivered to campuses, April 29, 2013. You will need to stop by the front office to sign for your book and application.

ALL SFISD employees need to complete an enrollment application this year. Here’s a link to an electronic application – do not submit this application without a signature.

The Affordable Care Act states that SFISD has to offer all employees insurance beginning in 2014. I must have an Enrollment Application on file for all employees with your election for the upcoming school year. Please note that anyone that opts to waive insurance coverage for the upcoming school year that doesn’t have other coverage, could possibly be subject to a fine from the IRS on your 2014 taxes when you file in 2015.

The Benefits office will begin taking TRS Active Care applications on Monday, April 29, 2013. You may send them either via campus mail or electronically.
